Crowley Lake Fish Camp Marina Info

Water Conditions:
Water temperature is now lower than the optimum temps all over the lake so look for the warmest spots or the ideal 56-58 degress on the bottom.
McGee Bay has water down to 50 deg in the shallows and out to a beautiful 56-58 out in about=2 09-10 ft. The north end is getting back to reasonable temps near Sometimes Island and Leighton Springs.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
Fish are spread out in McGee and the north end. Stick with it and you might get on of the big guys that are staging. Green Banks is tough, as is Six Bays.
Crooked Creek has a bunch of recent planted fish. Saw some tubers on the south side of Sandy Point all day the other day but it was only fair, yesterday, at least for midging. The bright spot seems to be around Sometimes Island.

Recommended Flies:
Midging is starting to eclipse stripping finally as the Daphnia has run its course. Red/Black Tigers and Blood Worms are steady producers in larger sizes,
Perfection Perch, Stillwater Hares, and small, dark wooly buggers continue to produce but try a tan leech pattern too - it was the winner yesterday.

-k The Crowley Cam (mostly wet dirt cam) is off for the season. See you in the Spring with some water!

Guides20Hint:
A four DVD copy of the recent 8-hour Crowley University will be available soon for those who could not attend. This is a reference library you need to add to your arsenal if you fish the lake.
