The Metolius continues to fish well, with BWO’s, the end of PMD’s for the season (see you next spring ephemerella’s), the beginning of Cinygmula (hey, it’s cool, you look like a PMD with one less tail), plenty of caddis (October #8-10), Tan #16, Olive #16-18 and Grey #12-14. The Metolius will always throw in some surprises day to day, like isolated stones, a drake or two or who knows?! That’s what makes it fun.

Bull Trout fishing is good. So many kokanee in the river, the BT’s are looking at plenty of chow lines.

Speaking of Kokanee, egg flies are definitely an important fly for the next several weeks as millions have been laid and many end up in the drift.
