The stocking program has begun for the year so there are good numbers of fish swimming around at the usual spots. Trout have also been spotted dispersed and upstream from the Fall River Falls and the Fall River Campground. BWO hatches still coming off around midday with picky fish looking up for small bugs. Try a size #20 Parachute BWO or Hackle Stacker BWO on top for rising trout. If the fish are hunkered down, small mayfly nymphs have been hooking fish on light tippet. The Flashback PT, Copper John, Perdigon, and Rubber Legged Hare’s Ear are all good bets. If all else fails a big bugger or leach pattern can move around some of those big, stubborn trout.
