Shore anglers are reporting largemouth bass, catfish and striper catches throughout the Overton Arm and down to Callville Bay. Try anchovies for a catfish or striper bite and soft plastics for largemouth. In Government Wash, smallmouth bass activity has picked up. The fish are taking a variety of jigs and soft plastics. Some anglers are also having luck with Kastmaster lures. For bluegill try throwing out a night crawler. Hemenway is producing stripers in the 2- to 4-pound range, with the best action taking place in the early morning or late into the evening.
