The Fall has been a mixed bag and we have had some varied reports. The hatchery is still closed to the public and people have been fishing up towards the headwaters with good success. They have been dumping fish up towards the guard station and those new fish have kept the fishing interesting. Good hatches of PMD’s and caddis can be as early as 10 and the fish are looking up. Streamers and buggers are a good bet swung or stripped next to logs and in structure. No word on when the hatchery will be back open but we will keep you posted as soon as we do hear anything.

Recommended Dries: Purple Haze #18-20, Tilt Wing PMD #18-16, Parachute PMD #16-18, X-Caddis #16-20, Flying Ant #14-16, Elk Hair Caddis Tan #14-20 Grifiths gnat #18-22.

Recommended Nymphs: Zebra Midge #18-22, Dirty Jig #14, Jigged Soft Hackle Pheasant Tail #14-16, Jigged Hares Ear #14-16, Mighty May #18-22 , Twisted May #16-20.
