Rough conditions have made for slow fishing here. The smoke was cleared and the heat has subsided hopefully making for better fishing. Live worms are bringing out all species in the lake making that that your easiest choice. Weed line is still thick along the shore and there is a mercy green tint to the water color. Fish are making deep around 35 feet. Baby grebes are nesting and hatching so show respect for their space and enjoy the adorable babies. The lake is still accepting non-county residents for day use, but only permitting in-county residents with valid ID for overnight camping.
