Anglers over the past week have had excellent luck fishing for catfish from along the shoreline and in the coves throughout the lake on cut baits such as sardines, anchovies, and mackerel down deep. Stripers have been a bit tougher to come across but most anglers have been trolling the lake with umbrella rigs, kastmasters and jerkbaits to cover more area and fish a bit deeper while roaming the lake. Lugworms, nightcrawler and sardines have also been working bait and wait style from the shoreline and off points around the lake to catch stripers thought the day during the colder days. Quality largemouth and smallmouth have been a little harder to come across lately but smaller bass have been caught on roboworms, nightcralwers and senkos pretty consistently along the banks and rip rap in front of the bait shop.
