Water Conditions:

Flows are 70cfs above the aqueduct conduit and 26cfs below it. Water conditions are pretty clear and temps in the high 40's to low 50's.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good

Hatches: Mostly midge with some Caddis and Baetis towards the lake midday into the afternoon..

Recommended Flies:

You pretty much have two distinct waters above 395 and below it. Upstream they will eventually plant some rainbows to supplement the smaller wild population. In this section general attractors work well including Pheasant Tails, Prince Nymphs Adams, Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulators in size 14 -18. Downstream will be mostly smaller, wild browns eager to take a well presented dryfly with a dropper.
Downsize from the above using mostly sz.16 ??? 18 drys with sz 20 bead head PT dropper

Guides Hint: Cover water and look for the slower/deeper pools and eddies to find holding water. If possible try to use a shorter lighter rod in these tight conditions. An 8 ft (or even less) 3 wt is ideal. Stop by the shop to try some out.
