Largemouth and smallmouth bass have been starting to bite more around the lake typically caught along the shorelines and throughout the coves on various soft plastics, nightcrawlers, jerk baits and crank baits. Drop shot has been working very well using either roboworms or nightcrawlers along with some of the subsurface baits like crank baits or suspending jerk baits this time of year. Some glide baits ahem gotten bit in the morning hours off steeper wall and points throughout the lake.

Stripers are still biting very well on cut baits like fresh sardines, anchovies or mackerel and lugworms.

The canal by the entrance booth has been a great spot along with the points past the swim beach, the rip rap in front of the bait shop, Spanish Point and Yellowbar as well. Last trout stock of the season was on Tuesday May 11th.
