Anglers are enjoying striped bass, black bass, bluegill, and catfish action along the Colorado River. Stripers are hitting anchovies and crankbaits in shad or trout patterns from Davis Dam through Casino Row. Fish are weighing between 2 and 6 pounds. Black bass in the 1- to 2-pound range are looking for soft plastics south of Big Bend State Recreation Area. Catfish anglers are using a combination of anchovies and corn mixtures in marshy coves.
