The Little Truckee River is currently the best spot for any dry fly fishing in the evening. Starting at 930am, there are a few hatches in the area, lasting until about noon. Because the water is low and clear, anglers should focus on using long leaders and stealthy tactics. Some recommended flies to try are Rios Tail Water size 18, Black Zebra Midge size 18, Crystal Hunchback size 20, Burks Silhouette Dun, Cravens JuJu Emerger, or Dandelion Midge size 22.
FLOWS:40 CFS, VERY LOW WATER LEVEL
