There’s a trout plant here that’s scheduled by DFWL next week. It’ll be the DFWL first trout plant of the season at these lakes. Cope’s Tackle has stocked the lakes twice over the last month with pan-size and trophy lightening and rainbow trout. Trout have been going for Trout on Jigs, Get Bent Baits, Garlic scented Powerbait, spinners, and mice tails. The Annual Bakersfield Firefighters Fishing Derby & Pancake Breakfast will be held February 5, 2022. Both lakes will be stocked with tagged trophy trout worth up to $1000. Tickets are now available at Cope’s Tackle.
