Redding--Trout fishing was still outstanding, with anglers catching as many as 30 a day. Most fish were from 1 to 3 pounds, and were being caught on caddis-imitating nymphs, and even on dry flies on occasion. Spin fishermen were scoring on Glo-Bugs and small, backtrolled Hot Shots. Driftboating and wading has been the best way of getting around the river in the Redding area because of the low, 4,500 cfs release from Keswick Dam.
