The trout bite from the shoreline has slowed down a bit but anglers have still been catching trout, mainly in the coves and drown deep throughout the lake. Posey Cove, Spanish Point and Bear Trap have been good spots lately using either nightcrawlers or powerbait with a long leader to have your bait suspended from the bottom.

Stripers have still been biting sardines and anchovies mainly off points and steeper walls up to 80 feet deep at times. Some anglers have had success trolling and spooning Chumash Island and Yellowbar areas.

Bass are biting deep crank baits and various soft plastics rigged up finesse style either drop shot with robo worms and nightcrawlers or drifting a weightless senko down steep ledges and structure.

Catfish are biting mainly sardines and liver off the points past the swimbeach area and canal by the entrance booth.
