The flows on the Crooked were adjusted again on May 2nd to around 120cfs. We were hearing good reports of BWO hatches with the higher water last week. The fish seemed to rebound quicker than expected from the spiked flows and will hopefully rebound quickly with the flows dropping as well. Scuds, BWO nymphs, midge pupae, and caddis larvae are all good options for nymphs. Keep an eye out for surface activity, the fish will likely be keying into the BWO hatches. The crooked canyon is a gorgeous place to spend a spring day so get out there and find some fish.
