We have heard mixed reports from the Upper Deschutes. Nymphing in the deeper pools with a stonefly and small dropper nymph can be effective. Stripping streamers around cover is also a good way to target some aggressive brookies. Dry-dropper setups are also one of our springtime favorites on the upper. Keep an eye out for green drakes as well as they could be around over the next few weeks. The Upper is a great place to spend a Spring day so get up there and get after some fish.
