The water level has been dropping fast with the lake at 54 percent of capacity at the time of reporting. Fishing has been decent for spotted bass and crappie. Bass anglers threw reaction baits early and switched to finesse baits until evening. Cranks and jerks both produced some quality bass, and a six-pound largemouth was reported by and angler using a Whopper Plopper. Drop shot, Senkos, and Neko rigs worked in 10 to 25 feet of water, and a few anglers reported deeper fish biting jigs on main lake points. The crappie bite near Horse Creek continued for anglers using minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles and small live shiners.
