The Fall River has been fishing well. Nymphing has been the best with zebra midges, small 18-20 CJ’s, two-bits, and eggs to name a few. Stripping streamers around some of the downed timber is a good way to target some larger more aggressive fish, but can be dangerous on the fly count. Dry-dropper setups can be fun as well with a chubby, hopper, or beetle/ant pattern as your dry. There are lots of carpenter ants on the logs at the fall and these often end up in the water and consumed by trout. The river has been pretty crowded lately so it may pay off to spread out and explore some water you haven’t before.
Suggested Dries: March Brown #12-14, Purple Haze #16-20, Sparkle Dun BWO #16-20, Hackle Stacker BWO #16-20, Olive Haze #16-18, Tilt Wing BWO #16-18, Parachute Adams #16-20
