At the Lower Salt River, Dennis M. reported that he loaded up his kayak at 5 a.m. one morning last week and headed to the river. “It was pretty low and weedy but the fish were hungry,” he said. “Caught 30+ bass in a few hours, all with soft empty bellies. Nothing over 1 pound but fun nonetheless. They were pretty much hitting on almost empty hooks. I was running out of 5-inch Senkos, so I started breaking them in half. Brought even more action.”
