Winter steelhead are moving throughout the Siuslaw River. Fishing has been slow early in the season but is starting to pick up again. The colder temps have made the Siuslaw challenging but conditions have remained fair.
The Whittaker Cr. drift will be the most productive through February and into early March. There should be good opportunity in the lower river as conditions allow.
Trout fishing in streams will reopen on May 22.
