Report: California's largest reservoir is fishing great! Find the colored water and you will find the Spotted Bass are in shallow, you won't have to go deeper than ten feet. Fish are now looking at Crayfish these days, more so than Shad. A Titan taper sinking line will get you down into the clay banks, fish a Pumpkin or Rootbeer Grim Reaper, a Whitlock Scorpion in Rootbeer, or a Bouncing Crayfish. If you are in a boat, cast it and walk it down the bank, eats will be subtle. Float N' Fly action can still be happening, you may have to find a bait ball and / or drop your fly as deep as you can fish it. After this week we will see the temps warming up and the top water early and late bite should be on.
