This week, our anglers are reeling in Rainbow Trout on the hook. Community Park has been a hotspot, yielding some impressive catches. Local angler Gerry Ward made a return with a nice limit of five Rainbow Trout from the Willow Beach Hatchery, situated at the base of the Hoover Dam on Lake Mohave. The hatchery benefits from the cold water flowing from the Ace Way, where a dedicated staff ensures the fish are raised well.
There are reports of a strong striper bite around the casino area and near Community Park. Anglers are finding success using swimbaits to target larger fish during this season. A friendly reminder to secure a good knot and ensure your drag is properly set, as larger fish can put up a great fight, potentially taking some line.
In other Lake Mohave news, trolling near the power lines and by the Basin has been fruitful, producing a few nice-sized stripers in the 7 to 12-pound range. We hope this information proves helpful. We look forward to welcoming you soon to share your catch and stories. Thank you for the continued support!
