tocking: Another 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho went into the lake the week of April 1st. DFW dropped 500 pounds of trout this week. The LAST stocking of 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho will be the week of April 15th. Stay tuned for information regarding Catfish Opener.

What’s the Catch? With nearly 500 visitors last weekend, the lake was busy and reports of trout limits were coming from all over. Sounds like trout were hitting on mini jigs and Powerbait. We had reports of trout being pulled from the t-dock, Hermit Cove, Sentry Point, etc. The panfish bite is starting to heat up. A couple of crappie were pulled on mini jigs off Sentry Point below the Big Green Chair. More crappies were caught in Half Moon Cove on red worms and rangers saw Bluegills caught off of the t-dock as well. As always this time of year, the bass bite is prolific. Bites were reported on Robos and Senkos. No reports of catfish last weekend.

Conditions: With the water draw, be aware of exposed and submerged structure while boating. See details about the lake draw below. The current water temperature is 64 degrees. The sun is rising at 6:31 a.m. and setting at 7:11 p.m
