Crane Prairie is fishing really well right now. You’ll want to have a variety of flies in your box—balanced leeches, chironomids, callibaetis, two-bits, zebra midges, ice cream cones, and San Juans are all working great. Stripping flies on an intermediate line is a solid technique for covering water and hooking into some fish. Also, don’t forget to try fishing under a big foam dry like a Chubby Chernobyl. Some opportunistic fish are definitely coming up for the dry. There is still access to Crane with the fires going on but make sure to check that before going out, that could change at a moment's notice.
