As of 10/24/24 South Fork Reservoir remains under a Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) watch. Please visit this webpage for more information:
Water temps are dropping into the 50’s. Recent wet and windy weather patterns have broken up some of the algae, but much remains. Algae will continue to dissipate and water clarity will improve as cold weather patterns continue. Trout fishing is picking up in the shallows. Try floating worms or PowerBait off the bottom. Fly anglers are reporting success with dark-colored wooly buggers or black and red balanced leeches. Bass fishing has slowed significantly, but anglers may have luck for awhile longer fishing near structure or weed beds.
