Stocking: Lake Jennings was stocked with 1,000 pounds of catfish the week of October 14th bringing catfish season to a close. In total 8,500 pounds of catfish were stocked this season. Trout Opener is the weekend of November 15-17 where 2,500 pounds of trout of Idaho will be stocked.

What’s the Catch? Catfish and bass were prolific again last weekend. Despite catfish season coming to a close, there are still plenty in the lake! When the clocks fall back expect the catfish to become active closest to sunset. Shadow and Sentry Cove are good catfishing by boat. By shore, rangers recommend Siesta Cove just below the bait shop. Fishermen were catching them on mackerel last weekend during night fishing. There was also a report of one caught on a shiner. The bass were biting on shiners and plastics by boat last weekend. Wherever there are schools of panfish, the bass are not far away.

Conditions: The current water temperature at the surface is around 74 degrees. The sun is rising at 7:06 a.m. and setting at 5:59 p.m.

LAKE HOURS ARE CHANGING! With fall back, we’ve adjusted our hours to 6am to 5pm, Friday-Sunday. BUT New Moon Fishing will be offered once a month until spring. The next date for new moon is November 30th. The lake will be open until 10:00 p.m.
