Water levels have been steady at 54 percent of the lake’s storage capacity, and surface water temperatures dropped below sixty degrees. Bass anglers reported a fair to good bite as largemouth and spotted bass transitioned into their winter haunts. Small finesse baits on the drop shot, Ned rig, and darter heads worked for bites in the 15-to-30-foot zone. Bass holding even deeper were targeted with vertical spoon techniques. Deep diving crankbaits in crawdad and baitfish patterns took bass along rocky structure. White bass fell for white and silver spoons and small swimbaits in deeper water. Catfish ate chicken liver and dip bait.
