The reservoir is ~70% open water, with the rest being covered in very thin ice. These conditions are NOT safe for ice fishing. The southwest shores are all open water. Shoreline anglers are having luck reeling in brown trout and rainbow trout, with brown trout catch rates having gone up significantly since the fall stockings. Spinning lures seem to be getting more hits than PowerBait and worms. Fly anglers are throwing dark-colored blanaced leeches.
