A fresh stocking and a steady bite at BV kept trout anglers busy. The usual lineup of garlic scented dough baits, minijigs, spoons and spinners pulled in easy limits. The bass bite saw an uptick prior to the last storm series. With warmer weather anglers used weightless Senkos and drop shot to fool pre-spawn largemouth. Crappie were more active as well with boaters doing well near the islands. Minijigs and small live minnows scored bites. Catfish ate SSS dip bait and chicken liver on the Carolina rig.
