The river has fished so well over the past couple of months that we have gotten spoiled. That could all change in the next week. We have gotten enough snow in the lower elevations to create some run-off. The next few days are supposed to be warm and the flows should start their spring Yo-Yo effect for a while. It is not going to be as bad as in a normal snow year but it will affect the fishing some for sure.
The afternoons are still the best time to go but keep an eye on the water clarity and the rising and falling of the daily flows for a while. BWO's are still hatching East of Reno and Skwala Stones are also around. Access is going to be an issue for a few days from Truckee to Hirschdale due to snow.
