Sacramento Ca. -The Future Pro Tour's 10th year anniversary season is now firmly in the books. And though this milestone achievement has passed into the annals of history following an exciting downtown Sacramento River Classic championship, the 2013 Thunder Valley Outdoors/Future Pro Tour still stands ready to deliver to the west's growing legion of amateur-level anglers, yet another season of fun, excitement, dependable quality, and value.
But even after ten years, which closed out with that historical downtown Sacramento Classic championship event, some may be wondering if it is at all possible for this all-amateur bass fishing tour to bring anything new to the table. Well, stop wondering, and focus on what your eyes will see, as the Future Pro Tour has more fun and excitement planned than ever for the anglers participating in the upcoming 2013 season.
Reigning Thunder Valley Outdoors/FPT champions Robert Thornton and Ryan Habernicht rightly deserve to bask in the glory brought about by their dominating performance in the 2012 FPT Classic Championship, and anyone that knows this dynamic duo, will quickly tell you that they put in hours of hard work over the 2012 season that paid big dividends - when it counted, helping them to secure the coveted 2012 FPT Championship crown.
But that was then and this is now.
When the 2013 season begins anew in Feb/March, all standings and statistics will be reset to zero, and every angler will stand on "level ground" in the race to claim the most prestigious title in amateur bass fishing. And for those that simply want to build their bass fishing skills in a fun yet competitive environment, you can best believe that there will be something for everyone as we embark on the new season.
Thunder Valley Casino/Resort the Future Pro Tour's title sponsor, will continue to be the driving force that allows FPT competitors to enjoy very affordable $90 entry fees, along with reduced membership fees that ensure various event costs are covered - as there is NEVER an additional insurance or permit fee charged by FPT.
Payouts are also designed to guarantee that the last check at any FPT event will pay a team more than double their basic entry fee back ($200 dollars).
Ranger Boats/Evinrude Outboards - the absolute standard in quality bass boat packages will be back for 2013 delivering a fully-rigged Z118 Ranger/Evinrude E-Tec 150hp outboard to our 2013 Classic champions giving them the opportunity to own a boat that is "Still built one at a Time", and powered by an outboard designed to help anglers "Spend more time on the water".
This package will also come with the "workhorse" Humminbird Fortrex trolling motor, and a Humminbird Fish Finder - all expertly rigged by one of the west's 5-star Ranger dealerships.
