Current River Conditions: Fishing has been great! Expect to get into adult steelhead and more than a few juvenile to half-pounders. The adults go 18"-25". Some anglers have reported in with as many as 5 hook-ups on adults. We expect the Klamath to fish great through the closing weeks of December.

This river typically offers solid fishing through March.

The Fly Shop's?? Tips: Check road conditions especially during & after storms. Good flies include: #4-8 Rubber legs in brown or black along with Amber Wing Princes in #12-14 and Red Copper Johns in #12-14. Also, egg patterns in shrimp pink, orange and salmon egg should be in your fly box. Don't forget your steelhead card!

Fly rods from 6 wt to 7 wt are perfect in lengths of 9' to 9.5'. Switch rods are popular and make casting very easy. Spey rods fit in well on the Klamath river.
