The Cave Rock launching ramp is clear and 4x4s with chains get boats in and out. Mackinaw fishing is very good. Not many big fish but plenty of three to six pound macks are being caught. CalNeva Point and Dollar Point are good spots. Toplining also has been good. Macks are stuffed with shrimp and juvenile kokanee. Guide Gene St. Denis on Dec. 29 caught a 15.9 pound, 33-inch brown near Elk Point in 15 feet of water with a modified tui chub plug. Browns are full of shrimp and baby crawdads. Gene St. Denis.
