The Fall River has been fishing well. It has been busy out there so try and find fish that aren’t constantly under pressure. The fish are feeding mostly during the morning and afternoons. Surface action is most probable when fishing pale morning duns, caddis, or terrestrials. After a storm or on a cool day, blue wing olives can make a small appearance. If you read the reports every week you’ll be able to guess the best nymphs. Size 20 - 22 midges, size 16 - 22 mayfly nymphs, and size 16 - 18 caddis pupa are the bread and butter of the Fall River, specifically the midges and small mayflies. If you want to add some meat to the Fall River sandwich, throw some streamers to mix things up. This week, we’ve got cool temperatures to start with and then fairly hot temperatures moving in later on. Hopefully, this will be the last of the 90 degree days for a long time.
