Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass have been biting pretty well on various soft plastic baits off steeper walls and points using jigs, creature baits, senkos and roboworms. Some deeper diving baits such as crank baits and jerk baits have been doing well in the earlier hours of the day along with spooning a small jig in rocky areas. We had received a small trout plant on Wednesday March 2nd, which have allowed people to catch some trout along the shoreline with smaller spinners and finesse baits like mice tails and tubes. Other anglers have been throwing nightcrawlers and powerbait throughout the day to come across trout from the shoreline and down within the coves throughout the lake. Stripers are still biting on various cut baits like anchovies, fresh sardines and mackerel as well anywhere up to 80 feet deep.
