The lake held near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been in the mid-seventies. Bass anglers fended off jet skis and wake boats over the busy weekend, but overall fishing was good. There’s a topwater bite along bluff walls and near the weed beds, but most of the action has been on Senkos, and smaller finesse baits. Green Pumpkin, brown, and light purple have been working well in 5 to 20 feet of water. Striper ate cut baits and nightcrawlers in the usual spots, but the bite has been hit or miss. Anglers willing to put in time on the water have been scoring limits of 2 pound jailbirds. Some crappie were reported by anglers fishing on submerged points with minijigs.
