Access to the lake is open and the floating docks at the main boat ramps are in the water. The lake level is low. Access to the northern-most boat launch (closest to the dam) is difficult for larger boats. The southern main launch is better, but there is a large hole by the floating dock. The center of the southern launch is a better bet. Access to the Narrows is now open. Campgrounds are open. Walleye and northern pike are being caught using lures with vibration such as inline spinners and bottom bouncers with a trailing night crawler. This is the time of year when channel catfish are caught by the dam. The lake is very turbid (dirty), so fishing with bait or lures with a lot of vibration or scent is recommended.
