The lake dropped to 89 percent of its storage capacity, and anglers reported another excellent week of fishing. Spotted bass anglers caught more fish than they could count. Topwater walking baits were the best way to get bit, but finesse baits, jigs, Senkos, and swimbaits all took fish as well. Spotted bass held in 5 to 30 feet of water with rocky structure producing well. Color selection did not seem to matter, but brown, dark green, and baitfish were all working well. White bass fell for topwater lures, small swimbaits, and spoons. Many anglers trolled and stopped to toss topwater on feeding fish. Catfish ate cut mackerel and chicken liver, and crappie readily took live worms, minijigs, and small swimbaits.
