The lake rose slightly to 81 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing remained good for smaller grade largemouth. Bass took drop shot, Senko style baits, and shaky heads in 5 to 20 feet of water along points. Alabama rigs were another good option, as the lake has a healthy shad population. Crankbaits fooled fish early and late in the day, and a few topwater fish were reported during those same time periods. Crappie went after small live minnows, Catfish anglers rigged up chicken liver, nightcrawlers and cut mackerel.
