Nacimiento fell slightly to 53 percent of the lake’s storage capacity, and surface water temperatures have been in the upper fifties. Bass anglers reported fair to good fishing with finesse baits getting it done. Drop shot, shaky heads, and ball head jigs rigged with curly tailed grubs all scored bites in the 15-to-30-foot zone. Anglers reported a good mix of largemouth and spotted bass. White bass went after spoons and small white swimbaits in deeper water. Catfish anglers used cut mackerel and chicken liver for bites.
