Nacimiento Lake rose to 68 percent of its storage capacity and anglers dodged between storms for good fishing overall. Bass held from 2 to 30 feet deep with plenty of biters up shallow on warm days. Weightless Senkos and squarebills took fish up shallow. Finesse baits in green pumpkin, Aaron’s magic, and prism shad worked for bites as well. White bass continued to come as bycatch for bass anglers working vertical spoons. Catfish were reliable for anglers using chicken liver, dip bait, and cut mackerel.
