Water Conditions:
Water temperature is 53-57F on the bottom. Water is still very clear but a few algae dots starting to appear.
WARNING
The lake is much lower than previous years. Watch out for Pelican Point which sticks out way into the lake. Look for white buoys and pass to the east.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
Excellent although very windy last couple of days but back to normal today and forecast for the next week.
Sandy is pretty much the best spot in 10-13 ft of water all along the east side of the underwater bank that extends way out from the point.
Also, fish along Pelican Point, at same depth. Leighton and Six Bays have both produced on and off.
Super clear water still and your flies need to match the real thing - olive, gray/black and black after 10 am. A little red in there earlier in the deeper water.
Bite starts aboout 8:30-9:00 these mornings driven by fair hatches.
