Nymphing Has Been Productive

Nymphing has been productive on the river, with perdigons and small mayfly nymphs taking a lot of trout and whitefish. Zebra Midges, Thread Midges, Winklers, Avengers, Ray Charles and Scuds are also working super now either Euro style or with a NZ Wool Indicator.

Whitefish spawn should be going on now or very soon. Be ready with light colored eggs.

Some midge dry fly action later in the afternoon, especially in the lower river in the slower areas, so look for risers before you take your waders off and go home. It can be good from 3:30 to dark on dries.
