Water Conditions:

The water conditions have been improving steadily with clearing in the upper part of the Resevoir.
The water levels have risen dramatically in the last two weeks, approaching the runway.
Surface Temps are in the low 60's.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good

The fishing is picking up from previous weeks with clearing water and milder temps.
The highest concentrations of fish are in the Rainbow point area, both east and west of the point. More fish should appear in the upper end of the lake between the marina and Buckeye Creek shortly and is worth a short drive to the west.
Pulling Streamers has been producing more than stillwater nymphing but this should change as the weather settles down and the lake and air temps rise to summer levels.
For now, pull Buggers around rainbow point in 12 -15 feet of water. Try trailing these with a large red, black or light colored midge, Black AP Nymph or Scud. Bridgeport Marina has a.m. ?? day rental rates, very uncommon in the rental world, decidedly fly fisherman friendly. Thanks, Jeff!!

Recommended Flies:

Nymphs: Zebra midge#16-20, Tiger midge#16-20, Black beauty,#16-20, Opti-midge grey, #16-20, Black AP Nymph, #16-14, Scuds #14-16. Don't be afraid to try going big, especially on your upper nymph, #12-14, this lake has a much bigger size range of midges than Crowley.

Streamers: Hornbergs #8-10, Punk Perch,#10-12, Woolly Buggers , Black, Purple, Brown, Olive, #10-12.
