The Fall River has been fishing really well. The cool spring fed waters are resilient to the heat. It’s still good practice to fight and release fish quickly. We’ve been seeing good dry fly action. Mornings and evenings are best. Pale morning duns and caddis are the predominant hatches. There may still be a few yellow sallies around. Terrestrials and blue winged olives are also seeing some attention. Nymphing has been consistent with the typical miniscule midges and small mayfly nymphs. Caddis pupa and small stonefly nymphs also have potential. Temperatures are forecasted to get back to normal for a bit. Let’s hope for cool temperatures and rain to dampen the potential for fires.
