Hosmer Lake has been a standout destination recently, providing anglers with excellent fishing opportunities. For those heading there, it's crucial to pack a variety of flies. Essential patterns should include leeches, damsel nymphs, soft hackles, and various chironomids, particularly in the blood worm stage. Scuds and water boatman are also effective choices. For surface fishing, small to mid-size chubbies, beetles, and ants are recommended, especially near reed lines where fish tend to feed.
