The winter striper bite has been fair. At this time of year anglers report doing better with cut baits, live worms, and jumbo live minnows. Flukes on a ½ to 1 ounce jig head will get bites on a lift drop technique. Tube baits in colors that imitate bulls head work as well. Rattle traps and deep diving jerkbaits are also good cold season choices. Catfish anglers did well with cut bait, chicken liver, and dip bait Carolina rigged with a 1 to 2 ounce barrel sinker. Bass anglers finessed largemouth with 4” Roboworms in Aaron’s Magic and Hologram Shad.
