Reports from anglers on the water have been light but those venturing out can have success. To improve the odds for striped bass, try fishing in 60 to 100 feet of water. Adjust your target depth throughout the day as the water temperatures change. Work various swimbaits, live shad if they are available or cut anchovies to entice these fish.
Largemouth bass have been found in the backs of the coves or along rocky points. If you find fish following the bait, try changing the color lure or vary the speed of your retrieve in order to stimulate the bite. Fish may not strike at what appears unnatural.
