Water Conditions:

Water temps are in the low 50's near the surface but get cooler as you go deeper.
The key to fly fishing here is to find fish in less than 20 feet of water.
Because of this, Lake Mamie and Twin Lakes tend to be better fly fishing options as they are much shallower than Mary or George. They also have more aquatic weed growth harboring more insects..

Fishing conditions and Hatches: Good

Fishing is fair to good.
Callibaetis are starting to show on all of the twin lakes on calm mornings.. No reports of them on Mamie but this should happen soon.
For the above, fish Callibaetis dun dry and emerger dropper set up early. Target feeding or rising fish. When fish start hitting the dry consistently, take off the emerger.
After the hatch, and at Mary and George, fish olive or black buggers and twin lake specials with slower sinking lines trailed by a Callibaetis nymph, Prince nymph or grey scud

Flies:

NYMPHS-
Mid day sink tip or full sink line tugging bugger or minnow imitations as lead bug then 18-24 in.dropper with callibaetis nymph, small midge or Grey Scud deep or along weed edge.

DRY FLIES- Calibaetis a must!
Griffiths gnats, midgelings, small baetis in#18-#22. Callibaetis emergers, callibaetis drys (foam wing drys working well) #14-#16, Black Ants #16-#18.
