Fall Chinook fishing is starting to produce some fish on the Yaquina. Although still a bit early and a little slow, there are fish being caught every day. Fishing should continue to improve through September as more fish move into the estuary to stage.
Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are available throughout the Yaquina/Big Elk basins and provide good opportunity for summer/fall fishing.
